ClassInfo

ClassInfo (formerly the Course Guide) is another tool to help get word out about your courses. Posting an informative and intriguing description of your course can be an effective way to get students to register for it.

When you go to the ClassInfo page, you will have two options: one is to look up a course (or courses) and another is to login. When you login, you should be able to see your courses for that term and can add information such as "Class Description," "Grading," "Class Format," "Workload," and a syllabus. You are not required to use all the fields.

The "Lookup" view (the one that students see) has additional details that are pulled directly from the University's systems and are things you cannot edit. This includes the "Course Catalog Description," so what you put in "Class Description" should be different.

Since the two views aren't the same, it's a good idea to check the "Lookup" view after you've updated your information.

Target dates for updating course information:

  • Summer: ~ February 25
  • Fall: ~ March 25
  • Spring: ~ October 15
